 Mouth breathing and snoring can be related, although the relationship varies from person to person. Myofunctional therapy may help establish more efficient oral rest posture and nasal breathing when appropriate. 


 Children, teens, and adults with snoring, mouth breathing, poor tongue posture, open-mouth posture, or other orofacial myofunctional concerns may benefit from an evaluation. 


 Frequent or loud snoring in children should not simply be dismissed as normal. It may be associated with nasal obstruction, enlarged tonsils or adenoids, allergies, oral habits, sleep-disordered breathing, or other factors.
